410 Eagleview Blvd., Suite 107 Leica Microsystems will display its Spectral Confocal: TCS SP2-AOBS. This revolutionary, filterless scanhead greatly improves system efficiency, yielding less damage to living cells and allowing visualization of dimmer samples. The spectral specificity and high speed switching of the tunable beam splitter makes it possible, for the first time, to quickly visualize several overlapping fluorescent dyes without crosstalk. This makes it practical to image such dye combinations as CFP-GFP-YFP-DS Red. In addition, the tunable beam splitter can be used to simultaneously excite specimens with up to eight wavelengths, which greatly expands experimental freedom and allows the practical integration of many more laser lines into the system. The system is ideally suited for FRET and other molecular interaction imaging techniques. The technology incorporated into the TCS SP2-AOBS is uniquely available from Leica.
4308 Progressive Avenue LI-COR Biosciences sets new standards for TILLING® (reverse genetics) and Ecotilling (SNP) research. The new 4300 DNA Analysis System's third generation infrared fluorescence detection technology is ideally suited to the exacting demands of functional genomics.
