CALL FOR ABSTRACTS Registration | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

The governing boards of the Drosophila community and The Genetics Society of America (GSA), sponsoring organization of the Conference, have agreed that members and affiliates of GSA who attend the Conference should pay the lowest fees as a benefit of GSA membership. If you wish to join the GSA, please complete the application and mail it with the appropriate separate dues payment to the GSA Administrative Office. If you are already a member of GSA, please pass the application along to a nonmember colleague. ONLY graduate-level students qualify for the reduced student rate. Postdoctoral students and lab technicians do not qualify for the student rate and must pay the faculty/postdoctoral/lab tech rate.

| Program and Abstracts Volume |
Program and abstracts volumes will be available at the Conference. The registration fee does not include the cost of mailing the program and abstracts volume prior to the Conference.
To keep meeting registration costs from increasing, the program and abstracts volume will be mailed prior to the Conference only to preregistrants who indicate on the advance registration form that they wish to receive the book prior to the Conference and who include the required fee (U.S. currency only) with the form by the advance registration deadline of February 12, 2001. Mailing fees are as follows:
For overnight or two-day delivery fees (via Federal Express, etc.) contact Marsha Ryan, meeting manager, at mryan@genetics.faseb.org. If you are uncertain which mail fee to include with your advance registration fee, please send an e-mail to mryan@genetics.faseb.org.
Note: Because of the limited time between publication of the program and abstracts volume and the beginning of the Conference, GSA cannot guarantee that your program and abstracts volume will be delivered to you prior to your departure for the Conference, especially if your mailing address is outside the United States.

| Conference T-Shirts |
The registration fee does not include a Conference T-shirt. Available in adult's and children's sizes, these 100% cotton, short-sleeved T-shirts are imprinted with the Call for Abstracts' front cover design. T-shirts will be available for purchase on site at an approximate cost of $15 each. On the advance registration form, indicate the quantity of each size that you will purchase at the Conference. Do not send payment for T-shirts with the advance registration form.

| Advance Registration Deadline |
The deadline for receipt of advance registration at the reduced rate is Monday, February 12, 2001. Please print the Advance
Registration form and mail or fax it with payment to the GSA Administrative Office. After February 12, you must register at the higher rates, and it will be too late to receive the program and abstracts volume by mail in advance of the meeting.

| Payment |
Registration will not be processed unless accompanied by payment. Payment may be made by money order; a check drawn on a U.S. bank and made payable to The Genetics Society of America; or by charging to Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover credit cards. Payments must be in U.S. currency. Checks drawn on foreign banks will not be accepted. Credit card payment will not be accepted by telephone.

| Cancellation of Advance Registration |
A $25 processing fee will be charged for all registration cancellations. Registrations may be cancelled in writing by fax or e-mail until March 19, 2001. After that date, no refunds will be made.
